I want to take the time to say congratulations to Emily Bussey. She’s been a trainer with Tony Cress Personal Training, and heads one of our Fitness Camps, and most recently, decided to push herself to compete in The Jay Cutler Desert Classic Bodybuilding and Figure Show. If you know nothing about that world, let me tell you it takes tremendous dedication during the time training for it. Emily focused for weeks on end, eating only the cleanest meals, and taking her training to another level. This was her first ever competition like this, and when all was said and done, she finished 2nd in her class! This is an amazing accomplishment for a first timer! With a little more practice in the posing, she would have won the whole show. I am very proud of her, and the effort she put into this whole figure competition. I think she has found herself a new goal in life. She was born to compete, and she’s only going to get better! If you’d like to see pics of Emily and the competition, go here.

Las Vegas Personal Trainer- New Figure Competitor?
Monday, April 25th, 2011The Fitness Life, it’s a Good One.
Thursday, August 19th, 2010Hey, I am in Las Vegas today, but not for long. The next two weeks are going to be filled with fun and adventure for me! Sunday i am heading to California, where a Six Flags trip is in order, and then on Tuesday, I will be heading down to Florida to develop a pre-season training program for my friend, Coach David Lane, and his Chipola College women’s basketball team. I will say this. The weather down in that part of Florida, is nothing to brag about. Sorry Dave. I went there last year, and felt the need to shower as soon as I stepped outside. I do have fun showing athletes how to work out though. He has a very talented team, and I feel honored to have a part in their success.
After the Florida trip, I will be going BACK to California, but this time to do something that i have been waiting a year to do. I will be going to Santa Monica, to become officially TRX certified. Ever since I put my hands on a TRX, it’s what I’ve wanted to do. I read about them, watch videos, own my own dvd library on TRX workouts, watch seminars, you name it. Only thing I don’t want to happen is to have this workshop teach me nothing. But with literally 8 hours of just TRX, I am sure I will learn plenty new.
Well, that would be the extent of my trips in August, as it has been a VERY busy month for me. We have another huge project in the works, that will be coming out, hopefully before the end of the year. I don’t want to say P90X look out, but hey, look out:) Alright guys. That’s it for today. Hope your training is going well, and I hope to see you guys in Fitness Camp sometime soon!
